As Promised: Covered Cork board

When we moved into our new house this was screwed onto my wall, rather unsightly so i decided to cover it.

I like to use some batting, this gives it a 'plush' look but you could skip this step if you wanted to.

My chosen material, of course Horses :-)

First lay out your material right side facing down

Second lay your batting on top of the material.

then lay your cork board on top of those two layers.

Trim so you have roughly about 1" of material and batting all the way around the board

Start stapling(using a staple gun) from the middle of each side and slowly work your way to the corners. leave about 2" of material either side of you corner so you have extra to work with when you do the corners.
when you start to staple you want to fold the material and batting that is sticking out in half then roll that onto the edge of the board to staple. that will give you a nice finish like the photo below:

Corners: this is where it can get a little tricky. it is a little hard to explain so i have taken some photos in a series and plus made a video for you. Hope that makes it clear enough.

Once you have done your corners you are done and can enjoy your new covered cork board. I didn't put ribbon across in a diamond shape on this one because there is cork underneath and  i can just put pins in it.
If you have any questions just ask :-)
