Okay one extra thing, go watch this video on youtube and he shows you how to mix/roll the dough so you don't over mix it etc(thats the way i did it anyway, but its up to you how you do it, its your bread :-).

Okay so the recipe is:
3 1/2cups of self raising flour (of course you could use plain flour and add baking powder)
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Cold water to mix i used about 2 cups
Oil for frying ( i just used what we had so ended up using canola oil)
made about 17
In a large-ish bowl mix flour and salt then slowly add water to make dough(watch the video!!!)
Turn dough out onto floured surface (pat down with your hands or roll with rolling pin then fold 3 times do this 3 times, Just like Chef John on the vid). Then cut to a size of your liking( i just used a measuring cup our cutters have gone walk-about). Then gently place into the pan with oil(i had element on medium-low) test to make sure it is hot enough by putting a little piece in and if it bubbles around it and kind of sings/sizzles your oil is ready and put your bread in :-) i only had the oil halfway up the sides of the bread, but by all means you can deep fry them :-) they are ready when they are all nicely golden :-)
Pictures:
First side just about ready to flip see the golden edges:
Frying the second side, on some of these(the lighter ones) i turned them back over and let them get a little more golden.
All done ready to enjoy!
Butter and golden syrup, you can have just butter or jam and butter or...
Hope you Enjoy :-)
Till next time...
